TV Party at the Double Down Saloon

It’s the party you would have had when you were a teenager and your parents were gone—if your parents lived in a bar. Every month, the Double Down screens a classic punk film, from lo-fi dramas such as Suburbia to documentaries such as Fugazi: Instrument. There’s always a noisy band, and DJ Atomic Fish spins old-school records accompanied by videos that seem incongruous but blend perfectly, like a dreamy montage of old K-Tel Records ads synced to Husker Du’s “Something I Learned Today.” There’s free popcorn, cheap drinks, festive companionship and, best of all, Mom and Dad aren’t coming home. 4640 Paradise Rd., 702-791-5775, DoubleDownSaloon.com.
