Any effort to assuage the treachery of the Valley’s roadways is welcome, and Henderson bicyclists are noticing a dedicated cycle track on newly renovated stretches of Stephanie Street and Stufflebeam Avenue. A 5-inch-high roll curb is placed between vehicle travel lanes and the cycle track, elevating the 5-foot-wide track above the roadway. The curb acts as a buffer to provide comfort and safety to the cyclists. Three miles (out of 180 miles of bicycle lanes in Henderson) isn’t much, but the concept represents an earnest start.
