Some may argue that the Fertitta brothers already own a football team, as they are the biggest benefactors of the UNLV gridiron program. But after selling the UFC for $4 billion, rumors have been swirling that Lorenzo and Frank have set their sights on bringing a National Football League franchise to Las Vegas. There are substantial obstacles in the way—building a stadium, first and foremost—but with hockey already breaking the ice by planting a major league flag on the Strip, an NFL team in Vegas has never seemed closer to reality.
