Las Vegas’ long-running Prince tribute show Purple Reign highlights two sides of The Purple One. Between its Kid of Purple Rain first act and the Prince of “Kiss” second-act, comes an interlude, with who else but Morris Day and the Time. As Prince’s zoot-suited rival, Drew James’ Day is all swagger and ego, preening in a mirror held by his flunky before bouncing into a rousing rendition of “Jungle Love” that has the audience on their feet.
