Comme Ça general manager Anthony Esparza knew exactly what he was doing the second he set foot in his new restaurant. He left behind an award-winning Italian craft-beer menu at Fiamma Trattoria in MGM Grand, so it was never a question that Esparza would follow up with a French beer menu. And on July 1, nearly one year after starting the project, he delivered. Partnering once again with Bevi Beverages, Esparza assembled a “Tour de Biére”—French, Belgian, Swiss, German, Spanish and Danish brews that runs the gamut from draft to bottle conditioned, easy-drinking to strong, and faintly herbal to heavily smoked. Some of the bottles are tres, tres cher, but there’s value and quality in the Charbonnier ($7), Saison D’Erpe Mere ($14) and the Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier ($16).
