A 69-67 loss at San Diego State did not hurt UNLV's potential NCAA tournament résumé at all, but it did cost the Rebels (16-3 overall, 0-1 Mountain West) in the Top 25 polls Monday morning.

After checking in at No. 12 a week ago in both of the major polls, the Rebels dropped to No. 14 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, and eight spots to No. 20 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll.

San Diego State (15-2, 1-0), meanwhile, jumped up to No. 16 in both polls. The Rebels and Aztecs are the only two Mountain West teams in this week's Top 25 polls.

UNLV returns home for its first game at the Thomas & Mack Center since Dec. 28 on Wednesday night for a 7:30 p.m. tip against TCU (10-6, 0-1). Then comes a marquee home tilt on Saturday at 7 p.m. against New Mexico (15-2, 1-0).
