As UNLV remains in the hunt for 6-foot-8 Findlay Prep senior forward Anthony Bennett — the top remaining unsigned member of the 2012 recruiting class — the pool of back-up options for Dave Rice and his staff is starting to shrink some.

Tennessee transfer Renaldo Woolridge, who will graduate in May and have one year remaining to play elsewhere without having to redshirt, opted over the weekend to head to USC for the 2012-13 campaign.

UNLV was in the hunt for the Harvard-Westlake (Calif.) High grad, along with Pepperdine, New Mexico and a handful of other West Coast programs. Woolridge averaged 4.3 points and 3.3 rebounds as a redshirt junior last season for the Volunteers.

Woolridge told the Los Angeles Times that he was "50-50" between Tennessee and USC out of high school, when he was recruited by USC assistant coach Bob Cantu, who is still on the Trojans' staff.
