April 27 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

A talk by Daniel Goldmark, professor of music at Case Western Reserve University, will look attelevision animation’s rebirth in the late 1980s and how many creators looked back to the cartoons from the 1940s and 1950s, drawing deeply on the sounds and styles of Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse and Yogi Bear. This talk demonstrates how cartoons and their music in the 1990s, including Animaniacs and Ren and Stimpy, were steeped in nostalgia for bygone days.
