Elder Grape

This weekend we will warmly greet autumn—very warmly. But even after the solstice, you can still drink in the summertime vibe poolside with Mandarin Oriental lead mixologist Michael LaPenna’s refreshing ode to childhood memories of frozen grapes, this year’s official last sip of summer.

Elder Grape, as served at the Mandarin Oriental Pool Café, $16

In a cocktail glass, muddle 8-10 green grapes. Add ½ ounce simple syrup, ½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice, ½ ounce fresh lemon, 1½ ounces Purity vodka and ¾ ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur. Add ice, cover, shake and strain over fresh ice into an 8-ounce rocks glass. Garnish with a spear of three green grapes.
