Growing up Gypsy and Becoming American

It's an afternoon of Gypsy culture in celebration of the release of American Gypsy: A Memoir by Oksana Marafioti. In this affecting, hilarious debut, Marafioti’s delves into her own family history (a long line of Russian-Gypsy performers) shedding light on the fascinating and often secretive world of the Roma people.

The program also features musicians Valeria Sokolova, Albina Asryan, and the Hot Club of Las Vegas; dancers Zarin Standridge, Coral Citron of Fiesta Flamenca, and Amira of Las Vegas; and artist Elena Pisnaya Wherry.
