Best Comedy Room

While the big rooms are reserved for surefire, established—and sometimes stale and bloated—acts (cough, JeffDunham-and-JerrySeinfeld-at-the-Colosseum, cough), and the smaller rooms are reserved for up-and-comers or little-known road dogs, the Playboy Comedy Club at the Palms Lounge consistently hits the sweet spot of proven comics who haven’t graduated to large concert halls and outrageous ticket prices. Case in point: August saw Ian Edwards—not even announced as part of the show—open up for Patrice O’Neal, who delivered a brilliant, blistering set that may have been Las Vegas’ best comedy show of the last 12 months.

In the Palms Lounge, 944-3200; shows Thu-Sat.
