When we first discovered what was slowly brewing at the Royal House, it was because we had glommed an invite to local scenester Ryan Pardey’s annual holiday bash last December. Since then, a unique scene has surfaced at the remodeled and reinvigorated property: Coachella-like pool parties, live music, quirky special events and the excellent Barrymore restaurant. Hidden in plain sight on Convention Center Drive, it’s halfway between UNLV and downtown, and just a skip from Firefly and the Strip. Enjoy it before every downtowner you are trying to avoid discovers it.
