Best Non-Nightclub DJ Experience
Over Labor Day weekend, the Cosmopolitan’s elegant Chelsea Ballroom was transformed in a massive party experience when Deadmau5 showcased a new live production Friday and Saturday for his fans. The indoor scene came equipped with custom-designed video walls, an “intelligent” lighting system, sophisticated audio, video imagery, stage props and even Paris Hilton moving along with the rest of the crowd to “Ghost Dance.” He delivered his sound by the minute, reading the vibe of the crowd with technology software he helped write himself. The Mau5-man’s ubiquitous bobblehead even gave its own performance, singing along to some of his favorite tracks. The show proved to be a success for Deadmau5’s national tour, with each night being sold out and fans leaving in awe.
