The Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan reminds us of the Hard Rock Hotel of the 1990s: From the moment you arrive, you know something good is going to happen. A fantastic live music roster (much of it free) feeds a sceney restaurant collection, and a top-shelf cocktail program is administered property-wide. Sure, it’s stylish and sexy, but also authentically beautiful in spots (Chandelier Bar, anyone?). Fun like this isn’t free (cocktails range from $10-$14), but you can still scarf a slice and a well drink for less than $20. It’s arty and accessible, and the crowd is energetic, fun and, well, cosmopolitan. In a city built on risk, the Cosmo took some big ones we appreciate.
