Keeping the Celebrity Torch Alive
Diversified Entertainment Group

It's hard to say exactly why the celebrity club-host influx has slowed down so drastically in the last year. Is it that the economy no longer makes $20,000 appearance fees feasible? Boredom with rampant B-listers? The rise of the celebrity DJ signaling a fundamental shift in public taste? The cancellation of The Hills? Sure, you still get your occasional Kardashian drop-in here or Diddy party there, but for the clubs that are driving the scene now, twice-weekly paid appearances are a thing of the past. What's not surprising, though, is who's doing the most to keep the celebuhost alive and well. Pure Management Group was instrumental in giving the practice rise at Pure in the last decade. Now, Diversified Entertainment Group (helmed by many a PMG alum), which controls Gallery, Chateau and Sugar Factory, is a three-headed beast for multi-venue celeb weekends. Yes, a lot of that comes from the cast of Jersey Shore, but when Charlie Sheen was ready to make his first Vegas club appearance since his wildly entertaining meltdown, it was Chateau that welcomed him with open arms. If you still want to peel back the curtain and gawk, it's comforting to know that there are three places that have you covered.
