So it’s no surprise that the American Poolplayers Association chose to bring its National Team Championships to the Riviera from Aug. 18-27. The big shock? More than $1 million in prize money was awarded, including $25,000 to the winners of the Open 8-Ball competition. Yet another way to hit a jackpot on the Strip.
