Mocking the humble protester is all the rage in Las Vegas. First there was Zappos’ April 20 “reverse picket” of downtown businesses that delivered appropriate measures of happiness. Now there’s this May 18 mock protest of the Helldorado’s venerable Whiskerino beard and ‘stache contest.

Turns out the disgruntled barbers and the bearded contestants were in cahoots for a good cause, with Whiskerino entry fees going to the Elks Scholarship Fund to help local students. Righteous anger will never be the same.
