UCLA transfers have been good to the Rebels lately, with forward Mike Moser developing into an All-American candidate over the past two years. Now it looks like UNLV may be at it again, as recent transfer Tyler Lamb is in Las Vegas for the weekend.

Lamb, a 6-foot-5 junior guard, announced his intention to transfer from UCLA last week, and this is his first visit. He'll attend Saturday's game against Hawaii and Sunday's practice.

Lamb started 32 games for the Bruins last year and averaged 9.0 points per game, but his minutes had been down dramatically this season.

Coming out of Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, Calif.), Lamb was the No. 41 player in the Class of 2010, according to Rivals. He's known for being a tough, athletic defender and a solid 3-point shooter, which would appear to make him a good fit for the Rebels. He shot 35.8 percent from 3-point range last year.

UNLV has had success recruiting quality transfers under Dave Rice, getting former McDonald's All-American Khem Birch after he left Pitt and UConn starter Roscoe Smith after he decided to leave his situation. Lamb figures to be eligible for the second semester of the 2013-14 season.
