Deals that never die

A ring from Charming Charlie.

Don’t wait for a sale to occur, because discounts in Las Vegas happen all the time. For example, Accessory shop Charming Charlie, where nothing is more than $50, just opened at Tivoli Village (Rampart Boulevard and Alta Drive). Save 20 percent for you and your friends when you turn your shopping into a party by taking a gaggle of nine or more gals with you. Arrange your “CC Social” in advance by calling 233-1192.

You can always save 20 percent at Savers thrift stores by donating four to 10 items. But on Memorial Day, May 30, save 50 percent on clothing, shoes and accessories. Special hours for the holiday are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Super Saver club cardholders can shop the sale in advance, two hours prior to closing on May 29. Go to Savers.com to join the club and find a location near you. Memorial Day is always hot—both in temperature and in sales. Keep Goodwill thrift stores on your radar, too, because select merchandise will be specially priced for just 99 cents. Locations listed at SNGoodwill.org.

For a limited time, May 16-22, save 50 percent off all regular price shoes, apparel and accessories at Designer Fashion Clearance, a favorite store among those who lust labels. However, don’t blow your wad in one visit. Return May 23-29 for the store’s swimsuit sale. Buy one swimsuit and get the second of equal or lesser value for free. Designer Fashion Clearance is at 7680 Las Vegas Blvd. South, just outside Premium Outlet Center South.

On May 19-20, White House | Black Market at Town Square hosts a VIP in-store event with refreshments and a special discount of 20 percent off your entire purchase. Mention you read about it in Vegas Seven and get an exclusive gift.

Those are surely great deals, but they seem more likely catered to girls than guys. Are there any such promotions for guys? Shoes are as important to some guys as they are to girls you know. Maybe like a discount for basketball shoes if the whole team enters the shop?
