What he’s wearing now: Topman T-shirt, button-up top, vest, shorts and necklace and Creative Recreation shoes.

His design philosophy: “My line is funky and youthful. The girl who would wear my garments is a free spirit who loves fashion.”

Urquiaga got his start in the fashion industry designing and sewing his own tote bags while he was still just a sophomore in high school. The hobby blossomed into a passion, and he soon launched JIMICTO clothing. The talented designer has also found a niche in editorial styling, contributing to several local publications. The late Alexander McQueen, his icon and muse, inspired Urquiaga’s quirky designs and avant-garde styling.
