Collectively they’re known by their single cartoon avatar, Major Lazer, a fictitious Jamaican renegade who was outfitted with prosthetic lasers after losing his arm in the Zombie War of the ’80s. Still, it isn’t often that you see one of those movers and shakers carrying around a vinyl electronic-dance-music record in hopes that the superstar DJ will add an autograph to the label.
