Lady Gaga was supposed to stay at the Cosmopolitan during iHeartRadio, but according to published reports, she wanted a room with a private pool, which the Cosmo doesn’t have. So she packed up her dead Muppet dress, stuffed it into her stasis egg and checked in at the Palms. Read more »

The Palms dove into philanthropic waters and launched its inaugural family-friendly pool party, Cabanas for a Cause, in May. Each Monday throughout the summer, cabanas were rented for only $100, all of which was donated directly to local nonprofits. Seventeen charities, from Noah’s Animal House to Street Teens to Links for Life, reaped the benefits as scores of generous sunbathers partied with purpose. Read more »

AVN Awards move again, this time to Hard Rock

In June, the AVN Awards and accompanying Adult Entertainment Expo announced the show would be held at the Palms for the first time, moving the operation from the Sands Expo Convention Center. The latest announcement is that everything will be held Jan. 18-21 at the Hard Rock Hotel, with the awards slated for The Joint. Read more »
