His sound put Nicky Romero on the EDM map—his remixes will put you in the party mood
August 30th, 2012
Nicky Romero is one of electronic dance music’s artists to watch—and not just because MTV says so. Earlier this year, the 23-year-old Dutchman was given that honor along with Alesso, R3hab, Tommy Trash and Hardwell. Since then, he has been garnering some serious buzz. Not only has he put out remixes of Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” and Eva Simons "I Don’t Like You." They’re barbarians. Instead, His Royal Harryness booked it out of that dump on Aug. 19 and came to Las Vegas, where he hung out at Wet Republic. Whatever the case, she spent the weekend at Tao Beach in a wrap. We don’t appreciate this new turn toward “modesty” and “dignity.” If we wanted to see ladies in billowy, shapeless clothing, we’d go hang out at our aunt’s house. Read more »

A little bit of the Roman Empire makes an appearance
July 7th, 2011
If you ever secretly suspected that the rich and famous live a twisted, decadent, Caligula-like existence outside the constraints and expectations of society that the rest of us are forced by circumstance and station to observe, no matter how much we’d like to cast off those shackles and live a debased, id-driven existence—well, Vanessa Minnillo ain’t exactly trying to disprove your notions. Electronic music pioneers Gabriel & Dresden make their return to Las Vegas
June 16th, 2011
Twenty years ago, before the Internet, before Beatport, and before you had ever heard of a guy named Tiësto, were two twenty-something DJs, obsessing over all things dance music.
